Build a clear, customized training plan moving forward.
Our programs are designed to support individuals facing physical, psychological, or neurological challenges, helping them gain independence, confidence, cognitive, medical, mental health and a greater quality of life through the power of a trained service dog.
Standards, Legislation & Compliance
Quality training must be supported by responsible practices.
NOSDA and Paws 4 Resiliency are committed to developing programs that respect applicable government standards, legislation, regulations, accessibility requirements, animal-welfare requirements, and organizational policies relevant to the jurisdiction and intended role of each team.
Paws 4 Resiliency's training framework is based on standards utilized in Alberta, providing a structured benchmark for service dog and handler preparation.
For teams working in Ontario, training and program requirements must also be considered within the applicable Ontario legal and regulatory framework.
This distinction is important.
Training standards, legal recognition, public-access requirements, certification, and organizational policies are not necessarily the same thing.
Our commitment is to provide clear information and responsible guidance so handlers understand the requirements applicable to their individual circumstances.
